The Mint Bar, Sheridan, Wyoming (August 13, 2002)
Here it is, folks--the best neon sign I've ever seen. The Mint
Bar is the coolest thing about the great cowboy town of Sheridan,
which is in a part of northern Wyoming that's too cold and too remote
for all the Californians to move there and ruin it.
You wouldn't want to say anything bad about John Wayne at the Mint.
Real cowboys hang out there. Faron Young is still on the jukebox.
They put pictures of cows on the wall.
It's a near-perfect place, and I hope it never changes.
